Wonder find a massage gun to reach the deep muscle tissue through to help you enhance exercise performance and improve poor posture and your body healthier?Rooftree R20 massage gun is a good option. It works by eliminating the muscle, tendon or ligament soreness, tenderness or pain without the pain of deep tissue massage. The metal heads just glide across your clothes and really pack a punch.

We’ve received a kit from our partner Rooftree Tech to test this massager.

Unboxing

This massager was really well packed. It comes with custom carrying case with cut-outs for the machine, all the attachments and the charger which is great for someone  who tends to lose chargers and little parts.

The whole package includes the massage gun itself, three massager heads, a wall-adapter charger, a nice molded zipper case with a special place to hold it all and a small bag with extra o-rings and massager head gaskets.

It has two purely metal massage heads, and a third head that is a mixture of plastic and metal. From the bullet-tipped ‘trigger-point therapy’ head, to the flat ‘sensitive region’ head, and the rounded’ general purpose head,’ each massaging head serves a particular purpose.

The heads all attach and remove easily, utilizing o-rings to effectively seal the connection.

Features test

The massager is very robust and for the three massage heads it has unique locations. I loved the extra silicone bands as well. There are four speeds for the massager and the first two are the most helpful for me. For someone’s upper back and shoulders, the speed settings are a little too heavy, but you could be impressed with how it helped your legs to recover from hard workouts. The three massage heads are all helpful and quick to alter. The massager charges quickly and has held a full charge after a week of daily use.

Rooftree R20 massage guns gives a really good deep tissue massage in a short period of time! The engine is quiet and the handle does not vibrate too much, but it’s still solid. It goes up to 4 speeds . I like that the carrying case holds the attachments to the cord, gun and head organized. With plenty of battery life, it’s cordless and rechargeable.

With a single button on the back, the massager is actuated and cycled through the four pressure stages.

We tested this unit at around 55db, or around the sound level of being inside a moving vehicle, even in its most powerful configuration. It is surprisingly quiet for the amount of power that it puts out. In a room, it’s obviously audible, but it’s not offensively loud or overbearing by any way.

The Max speed of the Rooftree R20 is 3400RPM and the stall force is 50lb max.So it is a powerful unit, very helpful at relieving aches and pains around the body. It can also help get blood flowing before working out, which actually aids in the recovery process. I like using it before and after workouts, it really seems to be a benefit.

And  you can have 12 hours run time at full charge so you don’t need to charge it too often.

Our Review

This is an awesome deep-tissue massager. Personally, I think it’s worth for two reasons: it has a very heavy-duty motor and metal attachments. I hadn’t really thought about the difference between metal and plastic attachments until I tried it. Unlike plastic, the metal tips glide over my skin without drag so it doesn’t damage the skin. But more importantly, the metal tips, especially the pointy one, allow for a really deep tissue treatment when pressure is applied.

There are somethings I don’t love about this massager – it’s not usable when plugged in. If you run down the battery while using it you can’t use it again until it’s recharged. Not a huge issue, and certainly not even close to a deal-breaker, just an inconvenience.

Only three massage heads, of which two are metal, come with the Rooftree R20 Massage Gun. If this product had more metal heads, I would have loved it. I find myself wishing for more heads, especially when the price tag is considered.

Overall I couldn’t be happier with this massager… when it releases a muscle knot I swear I can hear angels singing!

Should you buy

This is certainly a massage gun with five stars. Look no further if you are a professional searching for a massage gun to use in your work. This can be differentiated from the massage arms that are likely to appear in the big box stores this Christmas by the metal tips and metal accents on the engine housing. It is a gun of higher quality than those I have tried, so it will fit well in an area of high use.

Right now, Rooftree is running a flash sale so you can take this gun home for $179, but typically it’s priced at $269.The high price tag definitely warrants more interchangeable, metal heads.
